Most of the time, I am super happy to be settled in South Florida. We have 300 + days of sunshine, pretty beach towns and warm weather year-round. It’s only the months of September and October when I begin to feel a bit homesick for the Northeast United States. The palm trees don’t turn brilliant shades of crimson and gold. The air never gets that crisp bite to it, which is perfect weather for a variety of pumpkin-flavored coffees and desserts from Dunkin’ Donuts. Somehow, sitting on the beach with a pumpkin spice coffee just isn’t right. So these next few weeks, I’ll feature a few postcards and travel stories from beautiful New England. Today’s Weekend Postcard features some of the beautiful mansions and panoramas of Newport, Rhode Island.
